Keeping it Clean

I wouldn't normally think of going out any buying myself an apron, but why not? Are You Crafty?

I used to do some basic knitting - anything square or rectangular because I'm not overly talented in the knitting department. I used to paint....and do beadwork....and create my own greeting cards using stamps and cool cutting tools. One reason I stopped was because when we left the North everything went into boxes to be shipped more than 7000km away. We bought a house and moved in and soon had water troubles...needless to say, after a couple of years, my crafting supplies remain in boxes. Reason number two is actually a very good reason - the birth of our baby boy. He has taken up a lot of my time over the last 11 months, but worth every minute of it! But it's time! It's time to take some time to myself and to unpack those boxes so I can find my creative side once again. In the mean time I'm going to visit Create Release Smile and enter her Giveaway for a box full of Stamping Goodies! I could use the inspiration!

A Gift in the Mail

Today I received MOVIE CASH in the mail! I rarely get out of the house these days because of the little one, but I have managed to get to the movies twice in the last 7 months. Since we live an hour and a half away from the nearest theatre we have to pay big bucks for gas to drive to the big city. Since it's a 3 hour round-trip, it's only worth while heading there if we do some shopping and stick around for a meal or two - this all adds up! We still haven't left the little one with a babysitter and gone on a date alone together...add in the cost of a baby sitter in addition to the movie and a meal (plus gas costs) and we are looking at spending at least $140 for a night out. Since any little bit helps I was very glad to come across a Blogger giving away MOVIE CASH and I was the proud winner.
