I Can't Find My Umbrella - Giveaway

I stumbled across a GIVEAWAY today for an umbrella. I had an umbrella - a very cute umbrella with a duck-head handle, but sadly, it's missing! It would have been nice to have an umbrella handy when travelling from the car to a store or restaurant in the rain with the baby! He doesn't really mind the rain, but wet clothes are not the most comfortable and it's nice to keep the baby dry! With a growing family I think it would be nice to have a good quality, large umbrella to share with my favourite guys. I like this freeflex umbrella. It's large size is perfect for sharing!

I never think to buy an umbrella for some reason. Thinking about it now, even the cute duck umbrella was a Christmas gift from years and years ago. My son absolutely loves music. In the middle of a serious breakdown (he must have wanted a bottle or something important like that) I have seen him go from full-out screaming cries to 100% quiet when he hears music playing. Who doesn't LOVE Robeez? (3 Giveaways)

Even Robeez will admit that barefoot is best, but I couldn't agree with them more that Robeez is second to bare feet. My son has been standing for a while now but he is only beginning to take small, assisted steps now. He will do this if wearing nothing on his feet or his Robeez - that's it! I have tried to put shoes from other companies on his feet but most are so rigid that he finds them uncomfortable to wear. Has he told me this - no, but when he kicks his feet until they come off I understand what he is 'saying'. Even the pair he will keep on are not conducive to him learning to walk - they are just too stiff. Kids need shoes that will flex as they walk.

Keeping it Clean

I wouldn't normally think of going out any buying myself an apron, but why not? Are You Crafty?

I used to do some basic knitting - anything square or rectangular because I'm not overly talented in the knitting department. I used to paint....and do beadwork....and create my own greeting cards using stamps and cool cutting tools. One reason I stopped was because when we left the North everything went into boxes to be shipped more than 7000km away. We bought a house and moved in and soon had water troubles...needless to say, after a couple of years, my crafting supplies remain in boxes. Reason number two is actually a very good reason - the birth of our baby boy. He has taken up a lot of my time over the last 11 months, but worth every minute of it! But it's time! It's time to take some time to myself and to unpack those boxes so I can find my creative side once again. A Gift in the Mail

Today I received MOVIE CASH in the mail! I rarely get out of the house these days because of the little one, but I have managed to get to the movies twice in the last 7 months. Since we live an hour and a half away from the nearest theatre we have to pay big bucks for gas to drive to the big city. Since it's a 3 hour round-trip, it's only worth while heading there if we do some shopping and stick around for a meal or two - this all adds up! We still haven't left the little one with a babysitter and gone on a date alone together...add in the cost of a baby sitter in addition to the movie and a meal (plus gas costs) and we are looking at spending at least $140 for a night out. Since any little bit helps I was very glad to come across a Blogger giving away MOVIE CASH and I was the proud winner.

I know I haven't been very good at keeping this site updated - I guess I have been more excited about entering contests and giveaways than writing about them.

I LOVE THIS GIRAFFE!

Now here is a GIVEAWAY everyone should enter! My son absolutely loves this toy. This was the first toy he ever really reached for and we don't go anywhere without her. I think "Sophie" may be his first word when the time comes!

I am so excited to have found this giveaway today! Not only is it a Canadian giveaway, but it's for Epicure Selections. If you haven't tried their products, here's your chance. Go to this site to read about the excellent products and to enter the giveaway from My Organized Chaos.

I have tried a few of the products and absolutely love the Red Pepper Jelly, Chai Tea and Herb & Garlic Dip Mix (excellent for making garlic bread). I regularly use the Focaccia Bread Spices and Poultry Seasoning too. Everything I have ever tried from Epicure Selections has been terrific!
